Private Debt Update

Overview

The Australian Investment Council and EY invites you to join a briefing on the development of the private debt market in Australia, including updates on market size, sustainability reporting, credit risk/insolvencies and a panel session on the latest deal trends and structures. Headlining this session will be a briefing by EY on their recently released “Australian Private Debt Market for 2024” which provides the only current estimate on the size of the private debt market in Australia at $188bn and is posted on our website here. The report also comments on the current deal activity in this market, the impact of the changing emissions reporting landscape and the outlook for the coming year.  

The session will also include a briefing from Partners in EY’s Climate Change and Sustainability Services and Restructuring teams and a panel session with senior members of the teams at Ares, ICG, and Cbus to discuss the latest deal trends and structures being observed in the market. 

Attendees will have an opportunity to listen to these briefings over breakfast and be able to ask questions on the latest trends in the Australian private debt market.
