Matthew Turner

Head of Australian Senior Debt, Intermediate Capital Group

Matthew joined ICG in 2013 and is the Head of Australian Senior Debt where he oversees a $1.3bn+ institutional debt fund. He has over twenty six years of debt market experience. Before joining ICG, he was a Director with NAB’s Acquisition Finance team, and covered the larger PE firms operating in the Australian market. Prior to 2007 he spent eight years working in London with five years as a debt specialist within the Investment Banking Division of Credit Suisse. The other three years were at FleetBoston (now part of Bank of America Merrill Lynch) where he concentrated on Leveraged Media and Telecom credits and was responsible for FleetBoston’s European secondary loan trading. Before moving to London, Matthew worked in Corporate and Institutional roles in Australian trading banks, he holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney.
