Marcus Simpson is a private markets consultant, mentor and maker who has been pushing industry boundaries for decades. Current private equities including Chairing a novel private equity firm, advising Superannuation Funds, and assisting individual private equity transactions. He was Head of Global Private Capital at QIC until 2020, a program he established in 2005. That is a A$7.0bn global program with top decile global investment performance. He is at the forefront of a new private equity investment model reflected in a 2015 paper co-authored with Josh Lerner and Hugh MacArthur: The Next Generation Private Equity Investor, and as reflected in his active participation of the Institutional Investors Roundtable, an international community of large, long-term institutional investors seeking to collaborate on private market investments.

Earlier experience includes Chief Executive, North America, Altius Associates; Head of Private Equity, Virginia Retirement System, and Vice President, Acquisition Finance, Bankers Trust Company.

Mr. Simpson holds a MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Virginia and a BSc (Architecture) from the University of Virginia.
